If that changes for a given course, the price appears on that course’s page before you enrol — never after.
Why it’s free, and what happens if that changes
We would rather tell you the mechanism now than surprise you with it later.
Skill.re is a marketplace, not a publisher
Courses come from providers — organisations and instructors who bring their own material. Right now every provider on the platform has chosen to publish free, so the catalog is free. We are not subsidising a price that is about to appear.
Pricing is per course, never per seat
The platform prices a course, set by the provider who made it. There is no subscription, no seat licence and no platform plan — those things do not exist in the product, so we cannot quietly switch them on.
A price would always appear before you enrol
If a provider sets a price, it shows on the course page and in the enrolment flow, in your currency, with any discount already applied. You would see it before committing, not at lesson 12.
What you already earned stays yours
Courses you have completed stay completed. Certificates you have earned stay valid and keep verifying. Any future price applies to new enrolments only.
Running a team through Skill.re
Also free today. Org accounts, cohort management, verified learning hours and audit logs are part of the platform, not an upsell.

Questions people actually ask
Is this free as in “free trial”?
No. There is no trial period, no card on file and no clock running. Enrol in a course and finish it — in a week or in six months — and nothing asks you for money.
What’s the catch?
The honest answer: Skill.re is early. We have 129 cohorts running and a catalog that providers publish free because they want reach. We would rather grow the thing people finish than monetise a thing people abandon. When money does enter, it enters per course, from the provider, visible before you enrol.
Do I need an account to look around?
No. The whole catalog and every course page are public, and /try/ gives you a complete lesson with no sign-in at all. You only need an account to track progress, join a cohort or earn a certificate.
Does a certificate cost extra?
No. Where a course awards a certificate, completing the course — including any proof the instructor reviews — earns it. There is no separate assessment or issuing fee. How certification works →
I’m an instructor. How do I get paid?
The platform supports a revenue share on paid courses, set per provider. Since no course is currently priced, no revenue is being shared. If you are considering bringing a course, talk to us about the economics before you build — Teach on Skill.re →
Can my company be invoiced?
There is nothing to invoice yet. If your procurement process needs paperwork on file regardless — a signed agreement, a security review, a DPA — contact us and we will work through it.

You will be learning alongside people who started the same week, and you will finish with them.
