How can we help?

The questions learners, instructors and admins ask most. If yours is not here, email us.

Getting started

Do I need an account to look around?

No. The whole catalog, every course page and every lesson are public. /try/ gives you a complete lesson with no sign-in at all. You need an account only to track progress, join a cohort or earn a certificate.

How do I sign in?

Choose Start learning or Sign in anywhere on the site. Sign-in is passwordless — you verify by email, or use your organisation’s single sign-on if it is set up. There is no password to create or forget.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Every course is free, including cohorts and certificates. The full answer →

How do I find the right course?

Start at /browse/. You can search, filter by category and level, and sort by newest. Programs run as an L1–L5 ladder, so pick the level that matches where you actually are.

Cohorts & squads

What is a cohort?

A group that starts the same course in the same week. Enrolling puts you in the next open cohort rather than dropping you alone into an evergreen catalog entry. How it works →

What is a squad?

The people in your cohort, made visible. You can see who is learning, cheer a streak and share the lesson that finally made something click.

What if I fall behind my cohort?

Nothing punitive happens. Your progress is kept and you can keep going at your pace — the cohort is there to pull you along, not to lock you out.

Can I be in more than one cohort?

Yes. Enrol in as many courses as you can realistically carry. Your dashboard shows everything in flight.

Progress & certificates

How is progress tracked?

Per lesson. Mark a lesson complete and it counts toward the course, your streak and your learning hours. Progress follows your account across devices.

How do I earn a certificate?

Complete the course, including any evidence the instructor reviews. At L3 and above a human reads your submitted work before the certificate is issued. The standard →

Where is my certificate?

Under Certificates in your account once issued. It carries a link you can share; whoever opens it can check what was issued, to whom and when.

Can I log learning I did elsewhere?

Yes. External courses can be recorded against your path, with proof attached.

How do I get my learning hours out?

Time is recorded per lesson and per course and can be exported — useful if you report CPD, CPE or CEU hours.

Account & data

How do I change my profile?

Open Profile from your account menu. Your public profile is what other learners and certificate viewers see.

How do I export or delete my data?

Self-service export and deletion are not built yet — we would rather say that than pretend otherwise. Email [email protected] and we will handle it. What we hold →

How do I stop the reminder emails?

Use the unsubscribe link in the email, or email [email protected] and we will switch them off.

I signed in with the wrong email.

Sign out and sign in with the right one. If you have progress on both, email us and we will merge them.

For instructors & orgs

How do I teach on Skill.re?

Read what teaching involves, then apply. We read every application.

How do I run my team through a course?

Organisations get admin accounts, private cohorts, reporting and an audit log. The org side →

Can I put Skill.re courses on my own site?

Yes — four embed modes, from a single course card to the whole learner app. See the embeds →

Do you support single sign-on?

Yes, for organisations. Ask us to set it up.
